Ingredients for Macaroni Salad

As I said, the ingredients for Macaroni salad are not restricted to a list of used components. If you don’t like my ingredients, you can customize and use yours. But these ingredients are the basic requirements that I follow to use every time.

  • Pasta (Macaroni)
  • Bell Pepper (Red Would be better)
  • Celery
  • Onion
  • Pickles
  • Boiled Eggs
  • Mayonnaise
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Vinegar
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Paper

Making Process/ Recipe Direction

You might have the above ingredients to start the recipe. Now it’s time to make the salad within 15-20 minutes. You must make the dressings and cook the macaroni pasta. Then, you can make the macaroni salad in only 5-minutes.

Cook Macaroni

You need to cook the macaroni pasta at the very first moment. First, boil some water with a slight salt. Typically, one full pot of water will be enough to boil the macaroni pasta. You must be careful about the boiled macaroni.

Your macaroni pasta must be boiled enough but not too soft or hard. You must have the al dente types of pasta to get the best taste of your macaroni salad. So, it’s crucial to use the boiled water for a few minutes to cook the macaroni.

Once your macaroni is cooked, you need to rinse the water and place the macaroni in a large bowl to let them dry and cool for a long time. You cannot use the hot macaroni pasta to enjoy the salad.

Make the Dressings

Now, you must make the dressing ahead of making the main salad. You need to add mayo, vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, sugar, and pepper to make the dressing. Then, mix them properly to make the dressings. Here the amount of mayo will depend on your mood.

I use a lot of mayo to make my salad creamy and tasty. It’s my favorite to get the enhanced taste of the mayo to make the salad watery. Once you make the dressing, you may put it into the refrigerator.

Combine the Rest

To make the main salad, you will combine the other ingredients, including celery, bell pepper, onion, pickles, and boiled eggs. You can whisk them until they mix well and are ready to use on the macaroni.

Mix Everything
